Survivor 42’s merged tribe was split into two temporary tribes for two Tribal Councils, which led to a blindside and an open discussion of a pattern that was about to repeat itself yet again.
Survivor 42’s first post-merge episode returned to Survivor 41’s old ways, with Jeff Probst breaking the fourth wall to talk about his disappointment in the players and share his negotiating strategies with us. Ugh.
The dumb, infuriating, worst-twist-ever hourglass made its return on Survivor 42’s two-hour merge/not-a-merge episode, and once again reversed the results of a challenge. But there were at least some redeeming moments amid that nonsense.
In Survivor 42 episode 5, the remaining players considered who they can trust and get along with as the merge approaches next week, with a two-hour (hourglass?!) episode.
Another solid Survivor 42 episode, another phenomenal performance from Thor/Goliath, another shot in the dark played because there was no mystery about who was getting voted out.
Survivor 42 episode 3 ended with a wild Tribal Council that was the result of two players’ spectacularly bad decisions and game play—and another player’s smart move. Also in this episode: Jeff Probst narrates waves.
Another great episode of Survivor 42, this time featuring a blindfolded challenge, Mike and losing an advantage, Maryanne’s crush on Zach, and much more.
