While I’d struggle to name people from even the most-recent season of Survivor, season 33 was stacked with great characters and players—I immediately recognize and remember more than half of this cast:
A recap of Survivor season 33, episode 1, "May the Best Generation Win," which had just about everything: choices, alliances, idol searches, a brand-new twist, miserable weather, beautiful cinematography capturing the miserable weather, a mass evacuation, paranoia, bros, puzzle failure, and an unexplained vote.
When Survivor’s 34th season debuts in 2017, the premiere will be the 500th episode of the show, according to host and showrunner Jeff Probst.
That’s a remarkable achievement for any television show: only three scripted prime-time shows have made it past 500, The Simpsons, Gunsmoke, and Lassie. Soap operas, game shows, and other unscripted shows have higher episodes counts; American Idol and The Real World have already surpassed 500.
I attempted to predict the votes of Survivor Millennials vs. Gen X jury members, though the word “guessed” might be more accurate.
