Traitors US season 2 players: mostly reality stars, but not all—and not some rumored names

Peacock has just announced the cast of The Traitors season two, who are now in Scotland to compete—but not stay—in a grand castle for this game of deception.

Unlike season one, which had half reality stars and half civilians, this season is mostly reality stars—and two non-reality TV stars.

Peacock calls this “an all-star roster of 21 reality icons and notable figures” and also “entertainment’s most competitive reality stars and famous faces.” Some of that is actually true!

Alan Cumming is back to host alongside a new co-host: “his dog Lala, who is being introduced as his trusty sidekick,” Peacock said.

The 21 players left for Scotland earlier this week, and almost immediately names started leaking and/or inaccurately swirling.

Some of the people identified turned out to not be among the season two players, including Survivor’s Boston Rob Mariano and The Real World’s Beth Stolarczyk.

While there are five Real Housewives stars, the cast doesn’t all come from Bravo or other NBCUniversal-owned properties.

Among the players are reality TV royalty: Two-time Survivor winner Sandra Diaz-Twine, Survivor winner Parvati Shallow, and Big Brother winner Dan Gheesling.

There are some super-familiar faces (Bananas, Janelle Pierzina) and some delightful surprises, such as RuPaul’s Drag Race’s Peppermint.

There is at least one couple competing, and one very strange choice: a former UK Member of Parliament who was investigated and found to be a “serial liar” and a “serial bully.” Why is he on the show?

I wish they would have introduced the concept of this wonderful show with a cast full of "newbies" and not a cast full of RTV hogs; however, ... Love the show. Love the internationals (UK was amazing as was AU - the recent NZ one was exceptional) most. But will still watch any version of this show that I can get my hands on.

Also, wish they would reconsider the choice to not air it on Network TV. Not everyone has Peacock. But everyone who loves a great RTV should get to experience this show concept.

DWTS Max? :-}} Fun.

Maksim? Wow! I thought he was done with reality TV. I am so NOT a fan of Janelle P, but maybe she's mellowed with age.

Cant wait for this season, the cast is fantastic, but yah I agree the random UK parliament guy was a weird person to cast (not sure I get casting a UK love islander either but I cant complaint given the names they got)

@Bad Mitten, she's one of the best UK Islanders ever. Before that show, she worked as an actress and she brings the laughs AND drama. It will be fun to see her mix it up with this stacked cast!

I don’t watch a lot of TV but I do watch Survivor and BB. I saw The Traitors US and UK and The Mole because I read about them in this newsletter! Looking forward to seeing Sandra, Parvati, Janelle and Dan on the new Traitors season. Maybe Rob could be the on the UK version if he’s still got it.

YAY for CT!! I'm so glad he's coming back to the Challenge, and I'll be happy to watch him on this too. And then there's Johnny Bananas with his giant Fred Flintstone head.
