The Traitors is marathoning on Bravo this weekend!

The Traitors, the best new reality competition of the year, and my favorite new format in years and years, has been streaming on Peacock, NBCUniversal’s pay streaming service.

But now the competition is coming to Bravo, the cable network, for a weekend marathon. Yay!

I first discovered reality TV via a weekend marathon of The Real World Los Angeles on MTV back in the 1990s, and loved marathons for both discovering a show I’d missed or re-watching.

It was binge-watching before there was such a term, and a great use of cable channel real estate.

Bravo does regularly air marathons; today, for example, the first eight episodes of Vanderpump Rules season 1 aired during the daytime.

Other networks frustratingly refuse; MTV would rather air repeats of Ridiculousness than repeat The Challenge or allow us to catch up on the season.

So I’m absolutely thrilled Bravo is giving people the chance to see The Traitors.

While Peacock has licensed the UK and Australia versions—which are both outstanding, and arguably better than the US seasons—Bravo is airing just the US version.

It’s hosted by Alan Cumming, who’s exceptional in his role, and contributes so much to the tone of the season. While I liked the game play of UK and Australia better, the production design of US was my favorite of the three.

Bravo is actually airing The Traitors US over the next two days, and oddly, is only airing part of the season on Saturday.

Here’s the schedule:

  • Saturday, April 29, 5 p.m. ET to midnight: episodes 1 to 6
  • Sunday, April 30, 7:30 a.m. ET to 9 p.m.: episodes 1 to 10, plus the reunion

The start times, especially on Sunday, are very strange, like 9:47 a.m. and 10:54 a.m., so I’ll be setting my DVR just for that entire block of time.

Speaking of DVRs: Since Bravo aired the first two episodes previously, and then will be airing the first six on Saturday, both those first two on Saturday and then half the season on Sunday is not being marked as new episodes.

If you have not yet watched, and you like reading recaps after watching, my recaps are in three places, divided by episode so you can avoid spoilers:

The rest of my Traitors US season 1 coverage is below, including interviews with Cirie, Rachel, Stephenie, and Cody.

Especially if you haven’t seen it, enjoy! It’s just so much fun, with great cast members, and a terrific reminder of how fantastic competition reality TV can be.

Just to note the second Australian season has now officially been recommissioned, though sadly they're going down the US route of padding the cast out with "actors, reality stars and content creators".

Awesome on the renewal—and so depressing on the casting! They're changing the one thing that really didn't need to be changed. The ratings must not have been great, or else they're convinced celebs will draw in higher ratings?
