In this edition of Ask Andy, a reader asks for help finding a 2007 E! reality TV show, which is barely visible on the Internet, and isn’t streaming anywhere.

Also, questions about where to watch Chip and Joanna Gaines’ new show, and the death of a cast member on Life Below Zero: Port Protection.

Where is Fixer Upper: Welcome Home?

Where can I view Fixer Upper? I thought I had heard that it would be available on HGTV, just a little later than on Discovery plus. Can you please straighten this out for me? I’m sure that I’m not the only one that’s interested. Thank you! 😊 P.S. I’m referring to the “new” show. —Mary

I think Fixer Upper: Welcome Home is the show you’re referring to; it’s technically a new show, but is basically just season six of Fixer Upper.

It premiered on Discovery+ last year, airing new episodes in February and then again in July, so you can still stream it there, or you can buy it on Amazon.

However, Magnolia Network, Joanna and Chip Gaines’ new TV network, just launched on Jan. 5, taking over the old DIY network. And one of the shows on that channel is Fixer Upper: Welcome Home.

New episodes—well, the same episodes that aired on Discovery+ last year—are now airing on Magnolia Wednesdays at 9. So, that’s where you can find it!

Will Gary’s death be on Life Below Zero: Port Protection?

Can you tell me if an episode will be based on Gary’s death with fellow cast members? —Thomas

The answer is yes! And it actually aired yesterday, which is unhelpful timing on my part for answering your question.

Port Protection season five premiered last night, with new episodes airing Tuesdays at 9 (following new episodes of Life Below Zero: Next Generation, which has added new cast members this season).

Gary Muelberger died in a house fire in March 2021, and season five started right away with Gary’s death.

The episode was not-so-subtly titled “Rising from the Ashes,” and the description said this:

Following the tragic death of a community pillar, the residents of Port Protection combat their grief by picking up the pieces and moving forward.

If you missed it, an “enhanced”/expanded episode will air Thursday at 10:15 p.m. ET on National Geographic Channel.

By the way, the series seems to have undergone another name change. It’s now being referred to as Port Protection Alaska, after starting its life as Port Protection and then being moved under the LBZ umbrella as Life Below Zero: Port Protection.

Does anyone know how to watch Last Model Standing?

I hope you’re having a fantastic 2022 so far! I was wondering if you could possibly help me. I’m desperately searching for this 2007 reality TV show called “Last Model Standing” I’ve looked all over the internet and haven’t had any success. Do you have any suggestions on how I could access it? Any direction you could point me in would be very helpful! Thank you! —Mike

Happy new year to you, too, Mike. Alas, while I have a vague recollection of Last Model Standing, which aired on VH1 in 2007, I, too, could not find it.

So, I’m hoping a reality blurred reader will be able to help!

My search only uncovered a few references to the Project Runway spin-off Models of the Runway, which said it’d award a prize to “the last model standing,” and to this book, which was written by a model.

I couldn’t even find clips, never mind a full episode, and even the show’s IMDb page is very thin. Anyone have any leads, or perhaps have it on VHS?

As long as we're asking "where can I watch" questions, why isn't Junkyard Wars streaming anywhere? Is it because the BBC owns it?
