These reality shows and hosts are eligible for Emmys

Emmy voting has started, and nominees will be announced at the end of the month, on July 28. Reality TV Emmy nominees rarely have surprises, with Emmy voters returning to the same shows year after year, so

The Television Academy makes all of the nominating ballots public, so we can see which shows and people are eligible to be nominated. There are many categories that honor nonfiction and unscripted TV, but here, I’ve compiled the big four: reality host and competition, and structured and unstructured reality show.

Emmy statue Television Academy

There are 60 reality competitions and 82 hosts (some of which are pairs or teams of people, and some of whom are repeated because they host more than one show) eligible for Emmy awards, and 91 reality shows between the unstructured and structured categories. (Structured shows follow a similar format every episode, while unstructured, unsurprisingly, do not.)

Here are the shows and people eligible for reality TV Emmys. The show descriptions come directly from the Television Academy’s ballots.
