Trading Spaces has been renewed for a 10th season, but new episodes won’t air until 2019.
The new season will film this summer and have an “expanded episode order,” but TLC did not specify how many episodes. There were just eight in the revival season, which concludes Saturday night.
The show has been casting for new homeowners, so the renewal isn’t a huge surprise, but is a welcome confirmation.
In its press release, TLC noted that “Trading Spaces currently ranks #1 in cable in its premiere time period among key women” ages 25 to 54, and 18 to 49, and the show has helped TLC to be “the #2 cable network on Saturday night with” women ages 25 to 54 in this second quarter.
TLC GM and president Howard Lee said in the release:
“The response to the revival of Trading Spaces, from longtime devotees to newfound superfans alike, has been seismic, and we are proud to continue the celebration in 2019. We look forward to our designers and carpenters bringing more color, design risk and most of all, fun, into homes across the country in the upcoming season.”
