Bug Juice, an early Disney Channel reality series, is returning to television to follow pre-teen campers.
The new season is currently filming at the original location, Camp Waziyatah, in Waterford, Maine, and the original production company, Evolution Media, and original producers (Douglas Ross, Tina Gazzero Clapp, and Toni Gallagher) are returning.
The Disney Channel calls this “a contemporary new installment” and says:
“The new version will capture the authentic adventures of a group of kids age 10-12 as they head to summer camp, join in exciting and challenging outdoor activities, establish tight bonds with bunkmates and create unforgettable memories.”
The original aired three seasons from 1998 to 2001, so it will celebrate its 20th anniversary next year.
