Update, Nov. 18: Everett, Washington, police arrested two people for robbing Deadliest Catch star Jake Harris of $2,400, strangling him, and fracturing his skull.

Earlier: Deadliest Catch star Jake Harris was robbed and beaten on Saturday night, but despite social media identification of his alleged attackers, Everett, Washington, “police say they still don’t have any suspects,” according to a KREM reporter.

Jake’s brother, Cornelia Marie owner and captain Josh Harris, posted videos to the boat’s Facebook page late Sunday saying “my brother was jumped last night” and “beat him to the point of where it cracked his skull from his forehead all the way back to where he’d being balding.” Josh said Jake had “brain trauma” and claimed two people “beat him up and then threw him on the side of the freeway and left him for dead.”

Everett, Washington, police have not yet been able to confirm that story, according to news reports.

And while Josh identified Jake’s alleged attackers by photo and by name in the video—which has been watched more than 2.5 million times, with another 20,000 people sharing Deadliest Catch cast member Edgar Hansen’s Facebook post with the same identifying information—no one has been named as suspects by authorities.

Jake refused medical help, didn’t want a police report

In addition, KOMO News reports that, when police arrived on the scene, Jake “Harris declined to go the hospital and also didn’t want to file a police report.” He was later taken to a hospital by family members, and is in stable condition today, and later, “officers took a report and did a preliminary investigation.”

KREM’s Ryan Simms reports that police “confirm Harris had his wallet stolen” but notes that Jake’s “outward injuries did not require a mandatory trip to hospital.”

In its summary of Josh’s videos, KIRO reports that “Josh said Jake had gotten a ride home from a couple who had been at the Quil Ceda Creek Casino near Marysville, but it was unclear if that’s where Jake had met the couple and where the actual beating took place,” and “Jake was beaten and then thrown out of a moving vehicle onto the side of the SR 526/the Mukilteo Speedway, but Everett police only were able to confirm that people in another car saw Jake along the highway and called 911 to get help.”

Josh Harris’ boat, the Cornelia Marie, will not be featured in the upcoming season of Deadliest Catch, as the Discovery Channel and the show’s producers decided not to include it, which the network called “a very tough decision.”
