RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars won’t air on VH1 this week, when eliminated queens return

Alyssa Edwards in the "Revenge of the Queens" episode of RuPaul's Drag Race All Stars, which will air on Logo only, perhaps because of its unsightly back rolls. Back rolls?!

The “Revenge Of The Queens” episode of RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars airs this Thursday, having been teased at the end of last week’s episode—and at the end of all four episodes so far. But the return of the four eliminated drag queens, who will compete to return to the competition, will not be seen on VH1, which has been simulcasting the series this season.

Instead, the episode, which airs Thursday at 8 p.m. ET, will only be on Logo. VH1 will air an episode of its popular series Love & Hip Hop Hollywood as part of a six-hour marathon.

Why isn’t VH1 airing it? Logo decided it wanted the episode for itself, I’ve learned.

I can appreciate why Logo would want all of the ratings—and lead-in for Finding Prince Charming, which simulcast its premiere on VH1 but now airs just on Logo— for this, likely the most anticipated episode of the season. But I also imagine they will have some extremely unhappy fans Thursday night.

VH1’s simulcast of the show has been an absolute gift for those of us who do not get Logo in high definition. Because watching Drag Race in HD is so superior, I’m only recording the VH1 version on my DVR—which means I would have missed Thursday’s episode.

I’ve confirmed that Drag Race will resume its VH1 simulcast next week, and it is on VH1’s schedule for the remaining three episodes, #206, 207, and 208, just not episode #205.

Logo has released this promo, which reveals how the eliminated drag queens—Coco Montrese, Tatianna, Ginger Minj, and Alyssa Edwards—will compete to return.
