The Television Academy announced nominees for the 68th Emmy awards this morning. Those nominated in the unscripted and reality TV categories included some new shows and hosts, though there were many repeat nominees, too.
Outstanding Host For A Reality Or Reality-Competition Program
There was a significant shake-up—for the Emmys, at least—in the reality show host category, as three hosts were nominated: Ryan Seacrest, Steve Harvey, and RuPaul Charles. Out of the 60 hosts eligible, the following were nominated for Outstanding Host For A Reality Or Reality-Competition Program:
- Ryan Seacrest, American Idol
- Tom Bergeron, Dancing with the Stars
- Jane Lynch, Hollywood Game Night
- Steve Harvey, Little Big Shots
- Heidi Klum and Tim Gunn, Project Runway
- RuPaul Charles, RuPaul’s Drag Race
Outstanding Reality-Competition Program
The competition shows that may win Emmys are:
- The Amazing Race
- American Ninja Warrior
- Dancing with the Stars
- Project Runway
- Top Chef
- The Voice
That is exactly the same group as last year, except for first-time nominee American Ninja Warrior, which replaces So You Think You Can Dance. Yes, 45 shows to choose from and the same shows got nominated again.
Outstanding Structured Reality Program
This category stayed the same as last year, too, with one change: Lip Sync Battle was nominated and Property Brothers was not.

- Diners, Drive-Ins And Dives, Food Network

- MythBusters, Discovery Channel

Outstanding Unstructured Reality Program
