Naked and Afraid has published a video of its crew members on an island off the coast of Panama being attacked by killer bees. They’re scouting for locations two days before the survivalists arrive to begin the experiment.
The video is brief, but shows them fleeing, suffering from the effects of the bee stings (including throwing up), and being treated. The narrator identifies the insects as Africanized killer bees, and says the sting victims are “at risk of kidney failure and asphyxiation.”
A person who’s interviewed says, “the crew almost got killed and they’re dressed.” In other words, if a naked person was similarly stung, they could have died.
The video is labeled “5 Days Until Naked And Afraid,” so this near-death experience is actually being used to promote the new season. The accompanying Facebook post says, “This one’s for those who think the show isn’t real.”
