Masterchef Junior will get Utopia’s Tuesday timeslot

Fox has pulled Utopia from the Tuesday night schedule effective immediately, and will give that timeslot to MasterChef Junior as of Nov. 4. In the meantime, it’ll air repeats of its animated shows, followed by the World Series.

The second season of MasterChef Junior was scheduled to return a few days later, on Nov. 7, and would have aired Friday nights. Utopia retains its Friday night timeslot.

This is a blow to Utopia, but not a surprising one. Though the show grows its audience once DVR viewership is factored in, its ratings aren’t great. On Friday, though, it was up slightly from its lowest ratings, and that was against both Shark Tank and The Amazing Race. That said, it was still fourth in the timeslot, after a repeat of NBC’s awful The Mysteries of Laura.
