Blame Tim Gunn for Project Runway’s all-team season

Project Runway‘s 11th season will be all team challenges, all the time, which makes many of those fans still watching cringe considering how awful that has been in the past. If it doesn’t work, we can blame Tim Gunn–though the show is in a death spiral, and has lost Michael Kors as a judge.

While the show’s iconic mentor says the idea came from the series’ showrunner, Tim told Time that she “was ambivalent” and was feeling “a little trepedatiously about it,” but “I leapt on it.”

Besides taking responsibility, basically, for the twist, Tim puts himself even more on the line by taking a page from Jeff Probst’s playbook: “It’s my favorite season ever,” he said.
