American Idol 10 has its top 24, which was correctly spoiled by Joe’s Place, although earlier reports by the blog had some innacurate information; 15-year-old Jaycee Badeaux, for example, was cut.
As with other reversed changes, the semifinalists are split evenly by sex, even though we originally heard that having the same number of men and women wouldn’t be a consideration. The semi-finalists compete on Tuesday and Wednesday, and will be cut to the final group (10? 15?) next Thursday.
Meanwhile, the show is selling a single recorded by Chris Medina called “What Are Words” on iTunes; the announcement says that “[a] portion of the proceeds benefit The Juliana Recovery Fund at Laurusfoundation.org.” It does not specify what portion.
The announcement also has interesting phrasing: It says, “One of the most touching stories from season 10 didn’t make it to the top 24 but that doesn’t mean the end.” Note that it refers to Chris as a story, not, you know, a person.
