Bill Rancic and Giuliana DePandi get their own reality series

The first Apprentice winner, Bill Rancic, will return to reality TV with his own series on Style Network that will follow him and his wife, Giuliana DePandi. Giuliana & Bill will debut in August.

Bill and Giuliana met when she interviewed him as part of her job as an E! News anchor; they were engaged in 2006 and married two years ago, which was filmed for a Style special called Marry Me in Capri. The network still calls them “newlyweds” but says they “are settling into married life but unlike most couples they are living across the country from each other with Bill developing real estate in Chicago and Giuliana” working for E! in L.A. The show will follow both of them at work and at home.

Style Network’s announcement does its best to emphasize the conflict that will come from their living situation, calling her “the Hollywood dreamer” and him “the Midwest realist,” and saying “they are committed to cell phone conversations and cross-country flights in order to make it work” but “as with every couple there can be bumps in the road and Giuliana tries to relive her single days with a girls’ night out in Hollywood.”

Although Bill left Donald Trump’s employment three years ago, he went on to appear as a fill-in eyes-and-ears judge for Trump on subsequent seasons, hosted one iteration of iVillage’s short-lived morning show, and appeared on A&E’s reality series We Mean Business last fall.
