Carrie Underwood wins five Billboard awards

Carrie Underwood has followed her CMA win with five Billboard music awards.

Carrie won both the album of the year award and the country album of the year award; similarly, she was named the best new country artist, and the best female country artist. She was also named the “Female Billboard 200 album artist of the year.”

The album of the year award was presented in part by Paula Abdul, who looked loopy as usual. Carrie said, “This is not only incredible for me, but this is incredible for country music.” She then thanked God for His contributions to her album, and also thanked her fans.
