“legitimate boxing match” won by Daniel, but Mike the Miz doesn’t get knocked out.
The concluding fight of the WWE’s SmackDown!-embedded Tough Enough 4 aired as part of an Armageddon pay-per-view special last night. The two finalists, Daniel Puder and The Real World 10‘s Mike “The Miz” Mizanin, engaged in “a legitimate boxing match between the two,” according to the Sun-Sentinel. The paper said before the match that “Puder’s mixed martial arts background will give him a distinct advantage over Mizanin, whose strength is delivering interviews rather than fighting for real,” and Puder “promised a knockout of Mizanin.” However, he didn’t deliver, although he did ultimately win. In the “Dixie Dog Fight,” “Mizanin was able to hang around by staying active and grabbing when in close quarters,” the WWE says. But with no knock-out, “the crowd roared its approval for Puder.” The winner will be decided based upon viewer votes and revealed during SmackDown! on Thursday.
