Making the Band 3 casting announced.

Making the Band 3 casting announced.
Judging by the e.mail I’ve received, there’s a diverse group of XX chromosome-carrying people who are salivating at the prospect of stardom via Making the Band 3‘s all-girl group. As one wrote, “Who says that a white chick from Flint can’t RoCk??!!” Well, rest easy, rockin’ white chicks in Flint and everyone else: MTV has finally released the audition info for the upcoming series, and three open casting calls will be held. One will be on the west coast (in Malibu on Oct. 12), one in the midwest (in Chicago on Oct. 16), and one on the east coast (in New York City on Oct. 20). Unlike with American Idol, those under the age of 18 won’t be permitted to audition.
+ update: The Chicago audition that was listed has been replaced by a Miami casting call on Oct. 18, and the New York audition has been moved up a day. Check MTV.com for the latest info.
