Britney Spears “in talks with MTV” to star in next season of Newlyweds.
Although Jessica Simpson saying that her participation in Newlyweds: Nick and Jessica is “done,” the series may continue with new stars. And those stars are Britney Spears and alleged future husband Kevin Federline. “The two are also supposedly in talks with MTV to become MTV’s new ‘Newlyweds,'” Page Six reports in a round-up of gossip about the couple. US Weekly says “Britney wants Kevin to be just as famous as she is.” Of course, if reports that she’s called off the wedding are true, then the series won’t work quite as well.
