GSN to air Average Joe repeats; Melana will co-host World Series of Blackjack.
The Game Show Network will soon be giving us a chance to watch once again as the hopes of fat, hairy, bald, and/or cross-eyed guys have their hopes and dreams flushed down the toilet by vacuous cheerleader-types. The 26 episodes that make up both Average Joe and Average Joe 2: Hawaii “are expected to premiere on the cabler by late spring,” according to the Hollywood Reporter. Why these shows? “[T]he network is looking to expand its scope beyond traditional game shows and into the ever-growing reality-competition and matchmaking arenas.” In addition, Melana Scantlin, star of the first series, has landed a gig as a co-host of GSN’s World Series of Blackjack. Taped at Mohegan Sun, it debuts March 15.
