Average Joe’s Dennis and Tareq are actors; Tareq will guest on Miss Match.
First comes a report from Gawker today that Average Joe average guys Adam and Zach, the two dorky guys who remain on the show, knew each other prior to taping. Well, okay. There may be almost 300 million people in the US, but we all know that geeks (dorks?) tend to stick together, especially when being humiliated in front of 10 million people. But two of the other “average” guys, Dennis and Tareq, are apparently actors, in addition to the identities they presented on the show. Reader Jess reports that message board hounds unearthed two URLs that reveal two unaverage lives: Dennis Luciani’s “theatrical resume” includes a list of his film and TV roles. There are also photos; one is titled slick.jpg and shows a slightly less rumpled image than fans of the show are familiar with. Tareq Kabir’s bio (scroll down) appears along with other actors on the web site of a film titled First Interview. The bio calls him “[a]n enormously talented young actor with a captivating and enslaving method and a natural chameleonic ability.” Don’t we know it. His resume mentions his PhD–but only after lines and lines of his stage and film roles; his personal web site transcends definition. The reality TV show gig apparently worked its media whore magic: Tareq’s appearance has led to a guest spot on the Dec. 15 episode of Alicia Silverstone’s NBC series Miss Match. Maybe someone will be watching Miss Match by then.
