Chicken of the Sea wants Jessica Simpson to be its spokesperson.
Ignorance may be profitable: Chicken of the Sea, the tuna company that Jessica was so memorably baffled by on Newlyweds: Nick and Jessica, “is interested in Simpson being a spokesperson for the product, but nothing is official yet,” MTV reports. The company invited Jessica to a staff meeting to make sure she was clear that their product does not, in fact, contain chicken. Also, Jessica’s sister defends her, saying, “I love how people think her comments are so stupid, because she’s such a bright girl. … If you were to follow anybody around, everybody makes stupid comments.”
