Simon Cowell’s Cupid, which debuted on CBS Wednesday night and featured a panel of three women grilling potential mates for one of them. David Bianculli says Simon “has taken everything that works in American Idol–the embarrassing open auditions, the nasty judging and, in later episodes, interactive voting–and added the best elements of the dating-show genre,” and that’s created “instantly addictive, thoroughly entertaining, shouldn’t-miss television.”
