FOX wants American Idol sequel.
FOX is close to signing a sequel to American Idol that could debut as early as next January. Simon Cowell will likely return, but as Variety reports, “it’s unclear whether fellow judges Paula Abdul and Randy Jackson, as well as hosts Brian Dunkleman and Ryan Seacrest, will also be back.” The show will probably spend more time on the audition process which only lasted for the first two episodes of this season.
