Endemol says it knew about South Africa Big Brother contestant Brad’s 1999 arrest for “possession of an AK47 rifle and ammunition, a stolen 9mm parabellum, a SAP radio, a stolen vehicle and false number-plates,” according to iAfrica.com. The charges were dropped and Endemol says Brad told them about the arrest during the casting process.
