Colby’s gift of coral and the helicopter flight to the reward challenge are both being investigated by The Great Barrier Reef Marine Park Authority. Under investigation: “One is they flew a helicopter around sea bird rookeries … it is classified as a particularly sensitive area and the second one is the collecting of coral,” a spokesperson told News.com.au. The fine for removing coral is $110,000. Mark Burnett has apologized, EW.com reports: “On behalf of myself, production and the survivors involved, we extend our sincerest apologies for this error.”
