Bravo’s great Work of Art renewed

Bravo’s competition series Work of Art has just been renewed for a second season. The show, produced by Magical Elves and Sarah Jessica Parker, was the network’s best competition since Top Chef, and began second-season casting in August. It will return sometime next year.

Bravo president Frances Berwick told New York magazine that they’re currently considering potential casting changes: “We’re trying to figure out the logistics,” but Joe Adalian reports that we shouldn’t “read Berwick’s hesitancy to confirm names as a sign the show is headed for a massive overhaul; she’s pretty effusive, for example, when talking about how [judge Jerry] Saltz fit into the show’s first season.”

And the show wasn’t renewed until now because, she says, “We wanted to bring the show back, but … it was just about going through our process. … We always loved the show and we thought it was a keeper. [It] did very well for us.”
