Wife Swap family harassed about the husband’s admitted use of racist language
One of the families featured in last week’s Wife Swap is being harassed because of remarks one of the husbands made on the show.
During the episode, the swapped wife, Neicey “Wiggins was shown angrily confronting Jeremy Felix [the other woman’s husband] about his past use of the N-word. He later promised never to use it again,” according to the Post-Standard.
Jeremy and Vicki Felix received $5,000 from ABC for their participation; now, they’re receiving phone calls “from several people threatening to harm the family.” People are also driving by their house and honking. As a result, producers hired security for the family, and their two children, ages 9 and 5, were moved out of the house.
Jeremy’s mother told the paper,
“It’s a nightmare. There’s been nothing positive about this,” she said. “I have never known my daughter-in-law to be afraid of anything, but she won’t go to the store. I will not go to a store. Anything I’ve needed at the store the last couple of days, I’ve sent my husband because his face was not on that TV.”
