The six men who made out with and dated a man they thought was a woman, as part of Sky One’s There’s Something About Miriam, “have received payouts and an apology after they threatened to sue.” However, despite earlier “claiming conspiracy to commit a sexual assault, breach of contract and personal injury,” the Guardian reports that the show will still air next month. In a statement, production company Brighter Pictures says, “It was never the intention of Brighter Pictures or Sky to upset the contestants and they are sorry for any upset caused.” That would have made for an interesting show: contestants unphased by the discovery they’d been deceived.
