British reality TV stars plan to sue producers for “scarring” portrayals.
Earlier this year, Ron Copsey, a cast member of the BBC’s Castaway, successfully sued for being misrepresented on the show, other reality TV show cast members are planning similar suits. Five former Big Brother cast members and cast members from Castaway and ITV’s Survivor have approached lawyers about suing the production companies saying they were “damaged” by “selective editing,” wanting compensation for the “emotional scarring they have suffered.”
