Public Property is “Web-driven, reality TV.”
Britain’s new Public Property, which airs on ITV, allows viewers to interact directly with the cast, actually controlling what they do. It’s even more interactive than last summer’s Big Brother, which saw fans and detractors alike flying planes over the compound and attempting to communicate with the hamsters. Viewers vote online to control the contestants’ lives, making decisions for them, from dog walking to career moves. The six-month long show airs six nights a week.
