Jade Goody dying of cancer, will get married on TV
Jade Goody, the controversial UK Big Brother star, is now dying of cancer and will get married Sunday in front of television cameras.
The rights to film and broadcast her marriage to Jack Tweed “have been sold for around £1 million” and will air later on Living TV, which is currently broadcasting a show staring Jade that “sees the cameras follow Goody as she undergoes chemotherapy treatment for her terminal cancer while trying to remain strong for her two boys Bobby and Freddie,” the Telegraph reports.
Jade told The News of the World, “I’ve lived in front of the cameras. And maybe I’ll die in front of them. And I know some people don’t like what I’m doing but at this point I really don’t care what other people think. Now, it’s about what I want.”
During a press conference, British Prime Minister Gordon Brown said, according to Sky News, “I think everybody has their own ways of dealing with these problems, and her determination to help her family is something that we have got to applaud. I wish her well and I wish her family well, and I know that the whole country will be worried and anxious about her health.”
Jade Goody first appeared on the third UK Big Brother and later was on a celebrity edition, during which she center of bullied and made racist comments about an Indian contestant, Shilpa Shetty. Last August, Jade went on the Indian version of the show but left after being diagnosed with cervical cancer on her second day in the house.
