Following reports of a glass shower, producers of the UK’s Big Brother 5 are saying the house “will be absolutely horrible” and is “apparently designed to be as uncomfortable as possible, with none of the luxury gadgets of previous years.” According to the BBC, “one plan for the house was for it to have a 1940’s war-time interior” with “no vacuum cleaner, washing machine, power shower or hi-tech oven.” The show debuts after the finale of Friends on May 28.
