The fourth UK Big Brother series ended Friday night when Cameron Stout won £70,000. (Cameron is the house guest who spent time in Africa as part of the show’s exchange with Big Brother Africa; more on his win from BBC News.) However, “[t]hree million fewer people watched this year’s [finale] compared to last year… [and] just under 12 million votes were cast throughout the series, compared to 23 million last year,” the Independent reports. The show has also been criticized in the press for being uninteresting; even show host Davina McCall said she thought this year’s show was “boring” near its end.
