Frontline’s look at the Young and Restless in China debuts tonight

Tonight, Frontline presents a two-hour look at Chinese people in their 20s and 30s, Young and Restless in China. It’s supposed to air from 9 to 11 p.m. ET, but check your local station’s schedule.

The film “follows a group of nine young Chinese from across the country as they scramble to keep pace with a society changing as fast as any in history” and “[t]heir stories of ambition and desire, exuberance, crime and corruption are interwoven with moments of heartache and despair,” according to PBS.

It was filmed over four years by writer/director Sue Williams, who says in the production notes, “This generation will be running China in a few years. They are the next international politicians and business leaders, and their choices will affect us all.”
