Doug Wilson’s America’s Ugliest shows casting; he’ll also host another TLC show.
As part of his previously announced three-year commitment to TLC, Trading Spaces designer Doug Wilson will host two new series. For the first, America’s Ugliest, he is looking for ugly bathrooms and ugly kitchens to make over. That series debuts in November and will air as four specials, one each quarter. He’ll also star in Moving Up, a slightly more evil series that “explores our emotional connections to our homes,” a press release says. More specifically, families will move out of houses and a new family will move in and make it over. Then, the original owners “will eventually return to see whatís become of their beloved property.” The press release says this series will highlight “Wilson’s unique brand of charm and wit,” and Doug says he will “showcase another part of my personality that fans donít always get to see on TRADING SPACES. I’ll be able to expand the more lively side of my personality and, as always, you can count on me to keep things amusing and entertaining.”
