Homeowners who loathed the work the Trading Spaces designers did in their rooms bitch to the Washington Post. Kim Riggles, a homeowner turned writer for the Homeowner Updates section of the show’s site, says that “only about 25 percent hate it or can’t live with.” She says she hears that “designers are working with cheaper products, cheaper fabrics to stay within budgets.” The Post talks to homeowners who either hated their rooms or changed them back or both, including the woman whose fireplace Hildi glued glass beads to.
