Saturday, Trading Spaces will reveal rooms designed by Doug and Hildi to homeowners live from Las Vegas. That presents “a major technical challenge for the show’s production staff,” the Las Vegas Review-Journal Reports, since the show normally takes two weeks to edit. Instead, executive producer Denise Cramsey says “we’ll be doing it in three nights,” with the homeowners having to wait until Saturday evening to see their rooms. She “expects that live show to draw the ‘best ratings ever.’” Paige says the live reveal won’t be all that different, because “the reveals are always done in one take anyway. … Once you get those reactions, that’s it. You can’t fake that. It’s like live theater.”
