Vern has “not yet” apologized to Amy Wynn for the final episode blow-up.
In the final episode of Trading Spaces second season, designer Vern Yip got rather upset with Amy Wynn after two carpentry projects didn’t go as planned, and said to Paige, “You like that? Installed by our lovely carpenter.” Later he commented that something else “is not a viable and workable solution,” and also said, “Maybe next season I’ll come back as a carpenter. What do you think about that?” In an interview with the Philadelphia Daily News, Amy Wynn says, “Vern was very harsh, [but] we were all under a lot of stress,” adding that he has “not yet” apologized. “I actually have not seen him since it aired. So I’m hoping that maybe when I see him, we can talk about that,” she says.
