On Trading Spaces, ceiling fans are often the designer’s biggest enemy, and they come down frequently. Last season, 20 out of the 24 ceiling fans in the redesigned rooms came down, Zap2it.com reports. The show’s executive producer, Denise Cramsey, tells the site that “[n]o one … listed a fan as protected,” so they were fair game for the designers. The worst offender, she says, is Laurie, who always removes the fans in the rooms she redesigns.
