Trading Spaces spin-off debuted Sat.; host already being replaced.
On Saturday, TLC debuted a spin-off to its wildly popular home decorating reality TV show Trading Spaces. The new show is called While You Were Out, and features a rotating group of six designers and two carpenters who redecorate a room in someone’s house over two days (sound familiar?). However, they do so while one of the two owners is away, surprising him or her with the changes upon their return; plus, the budget is $1,500 and both carpenters help out on each episode. As Entertainment Weekly reports, the show’s host, Anna Bocci, has been let go. Citing her upcoming marriage, executive producer Stephen Schwartz tells EW, “We had to let her out of her deal. It was too much for her.” They’re currently looking for a new host. The show airs Sundays at noon ET.
