Vern is “psycho about staying on Day One”; says Dez won’t be back.
In a 26-page interview with Television Without Pity, Trading Spaces designer Vern Yip reveals he’s “psycho about staying on Day One” and often the homeowners will have to tell him to go home long after the crew has left, says designers are mostly assigned to homeowners based upon the designers’ schedules, and confirms Dez is not returning. Talking about his personal life, Vern says, “the two main qualities I really look for in a woman are intelligence and passion for life.” He also says that show premieres this season will be limited to Saturday nights, with two new episodes airing most Saturdays, rather than some new episodes debuting on weekdays like last season.
