ArchivesJaslene Gonzalez, the model referred to by the judges as both a Janice Dickinson lookalike and a drag queen, is America’s next next next next next next next next top model. She defeated over-confident Russian mother Natasha to win America’s Next Top Model 8.
First, Renee was eliminated, despite having the strongest Cover Girl photograph and commercial. She looked to old, the judges told her, and being old means you can’t be Tyra’s baby, so she was eliminated.
Jaslene will now slink into obscurity like the other “top models” before her, only reminding us of her existence when she appears on future cycles of the show.
The series has unsurprisingly been renewed, and will return this fall. Variety called it one of The CW’s “star attractions.”
