Janice Dickinson quits Top Model, will be replaced by Twiggy.

America’s Next Top Model is losing its most critical, entertaining, and well-preserved judge. Janice Dickinson, who will appear on this fall’s Surreal Life 5, is leaving to work on a book and other TV projects. In a press release, executive producer Ken Mok gives some empty, standard replies, saying that the show “wish[es] her well in all of her future endeavors.” But he does credit her with “help[ing] us build ‘America’s Next Top Model’ into its current success.”

Janice will be replaced by Twiggy Lawson, who UPN calls “the first teenager to become a supermodel in the 1960’s” and “still one of the most recognized names in the fashion world today.” Joining Twiggy on the panel will be the series’ runway coach, “Miss J.” Alexander. S/he is a former model. Photographer Nigel Barker also returns to the panel for the fifth season.
