With the third season debut of America’s Next Top Model 3 just a few weeks away, there’s a lot more on the line than just a modeling contract. The show’s home, UPN, has so much faith in the series that the network is banking all three of its scripted dramas on the continued success and even growth of ‘Model,’” Zap2it.com reports. Because of the show’s success in its first and second seasons, the network is shifting its focus toward women. Executive producer Ken Mok says “UPN is now about women,” which is actually causing him some problems, as “that killed my pilot,” he says, referring to a different show he’d planned to produce for the network. Top Model 3 debuts on Sept. 22, and will be followed by shows that UPN wants to promote.
