Twiggy replaced by Paulina Porizkova as a judge for Top Model 10
Twiggy has been replaced by supermodel Paulina Porizkova as a judge for America’s Next Top Model 10, five seasons after she replaced Janice Dickinson as a judge.
Twiggy “is leaving due to scheduling conflicts,” according to a CW press release, and that sounds suspiciously like a version of the “pursuing other opportunities” bullshit that corporations always say about fired employees. (Janice, incidentally, initially said she quit over money, but later said she was fired.)
In a statement, executive producer Ken Mok said, “We would like to thank Twiggy for her great contributions to the show. Having an icon like Twiggy lend us her considerable expertise has elevated our show to a whole new level. We wish her well in her endeavors and hope to collaborate with her in future cycles of ANTM as well as other projects.”
The CW says that Twiggy’s replacement “Porizkova has graced the covers of hundreds of magazines worldwide for more than two decades, including appearances on Vogue, ELLE, Harper’s Bazaar, Self, Cosmopolitan and Glamour. She began modeling at the age of 15 and quickly rose to the top of her profession.”
