UPN’s Supermodel judges, not the public, will select the winner.
Although the show sounds like a modeling version of American Idol, there will be no audience voting for a winner on UPN’s forthcoming Supermodel, according to its host and producer, Tyra Banks. Instead, the four judges —“a magazine editor, a photographer, an agent, and a designer,” Tyra tells EW—will select the finalists and narrow them down each week. The contestants will compete in “physical challenges as well as emotional” challenges, such as “rigorous walking sessions, photo shoots, lessons in movement for commercials and videos, public speaking, and media training,” she says.
