Top Chef will be filmed in Washington, DC, but has yet to start production.

The seventh season “is set to be taped in Washington this spring,” Washington Post food editor Joe Yonan revealed. He notes that the city has had many of its chefs on the show, including Bryan Voltaggio, Spike Mendelsohn, and Carla Hall.

Since it hasn’t even started filming, its broadcast is a long way off, though we have Top Chef Masters 2 soon; it debuts April 7.
