LA Ink looking for tattoo artists; producers also casting New York Ink for “no pay”

The production company behind TLC’s series LA Ink and Miami Ink is casting for new tattoo artists for its Los Angeles edition, and is casting for a New York City version of the show, which will be called, yes, New York Ink.

Original Media is looking for “Tattoo Artists: males & females, 18+, creative, experienced; Tattoo Shop Manager: males & females, 18+, great personality.” While that casting notice said applications were due by Oct. 15, the deadline has been extended to mid-November. One of the casting notices for New York Ink says, hilariously, “No pay,” although another version says compensation is “NEG,” presumably meaning negotiable.

Producers are also casting new tattoo artists for L.A. Ink, and want “new creative artists with skills in tattooing and a great personality.”
